Demon Crisis: indie lightgun shooter seeks playtesters ahead of Steam demo

SpookySoft is developing Demon Crisis, an on-rails arcade lightgun shooter with online co-op, and the studio is recruiting playtesters ahead of a Steam demo release. Lead developer Eric announced the project on r/pcgaming, saying the game works with Sinden, Gun4IR, RetroShooter, Guncon3, or any device Windows recognizes as a mouse.

The game is wishlistable on Steam now, and a full trailer is live on YouTube. The studio has not set a demo date, only saying one is "coming soon."

Demon Crisis enters a niche but active corner of PC gaming where lightgun hardware makers have built a small ecosystem of compatible shooters. By supporting multiple gun peripherals plus mouse input, SpookySoft is targeting players who already own hardware rather than requiring a specific device. The developer's direct call for playtesters suggests the project is still in an early balancing and polish phase, and community feedback could shape the final release.
