New leaker claims new Smash Bros, Nintendogs games in development
A new Nintendo leaker is claiming that a brand new Super Smash Bros. game and a new Nintendogs are in development, ahead of two Nintendo Directs scheduled this week.
The leaker, a YouTube user going by Malo932, has built a track record this year. They correctly predicted a "classic" Star Fox game, an Ocarina of Time remake, a new Nintendo Switch Sports, and two separate Directs before Nintendo confirmed them, according to Kotaku and VGC. Malo932's claims were later echoed by noted insider Nate the Hate, though Malo932 posted them first.
Their latest claims, gathered by the Pokémon leak account Centro Leaks, say the Smash Bros. game is an entirely new entry, not a port of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Nintendogs would return for the first time since Nintendogs + Cats launched on 3DS in 2011. Other unconfirmed claims include a Super Metroid pixel art remake, a new Wario Land, a new 3D Mario game, and Mario Kart World DLC featuring Fox McCloud.
Malo932 has since deleted their recent YouTube comments and changed their display name to "stop." None of the claims are tied specifically to this week's Directs, which Nintendo says focus on games releasing this Winter.
A leaker with a strong 2026 prediction record is claiming two major Nintendo franchises are getting new entries, though the claims remain unverified and unconnected to this week's Directs.
