Remedy reveals final Control Resonant PC specs for RT and path tracing
Remedy has published the final PC system requirements for Control Resonant, covering the rasterized version plus the Ray Tracing and Path Tracing configurations. The studio previously released minimum and recommended specs for the base game, and the new disclosure fills in the higher-end tiers ahead of the September 24 launch.
The earlier minimum requirements target 1080p at 30FPS on Low settings with FSR Quality, while the recommended specs aim for 1440p at 60FPS on Medium settings with DLSS or FSR Balanced. The newly detailed 4K tier asks for 60FPS on High settings with DLSS or FSR Performance, which Remedy says requires an Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 16GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT.
Ray Tracing has its own entry-level and recommended configurations. The minimum RT setup calls for an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, 16GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super, AMD Radeon RX 6600, or Intel Arc A580. For the recommended RT experience, Remedy specifies an Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 9070, which should deliver 1440p at 60FPS on Medium settings with Medium RT and DLSS or FSR Balanced.
The most demanding tier is Path Tracing at 4K and 60FPS. That configuration requires an Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 16GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080, and Remedy notes that DLSS Performance Mode is needed to hit 60FPS. The CPU and memory requirements stay flat across the 4K and Path Tracing tiers, with the GPU doing the heavy lifting as the resolution and rendering technique scale up.
The requirements follow the pattern Remedy established with its Northlight engine titles, which have leaned on upscaling technologies to reach playable frame rates at higher resolutions. Every tier above the base minimum assumes some form of DLSS or FSR, and the Path Tracing target explicitly depends on DLSS Performance rather than native rendering.
Remedy has not detailed how the game performs on consoles or whether the console versions carry equivalent rendering modes. The studio is scheduled to release Control Resonant on September 24, and the final PC specs give prospective players a clear picture of the hardware needed for each graphics tier before launch.
