The Blood of Dawnwalker sells 1 million copies in 3 days

Rebel Wolves' action RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker has sold more than 1 million copies worldwide in its first three days, the studio announced on Twitter/X. The developer, founded by former Witcher developers, thanked players for "playing, sharing, supporting, and being part of the community."

The game also drew 70,692 concurrent players on Steam over the launch weekend, a strong figure for a singleplayer title. The milestone follows a week in which Rebel Wolves faced pushback over the console version: after showing the game would not offer a 60fps mode on PS5 or Xbox Series X/S at launch, the team said it heard the feedback and confirmed a day-one Performance Mode after completing further tests.

Eurogamer's review awarded the game four out of five stars, calling it "an RPG daring to do things differently." Rebel Wolves is the studio formed by veterans of CD Projekt Red's Witcher series.

Why it matters

The 1 million sales in three days marks a strong commercial debut for Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by former Witcher developers, and validates its first original IP.
